- This session will discuss current challenges and opportunities to maintaining a global and interoperable Internet. The Internet we see is the content, but it relies on a robust technical foundation. Speakers will discuss potential impacts from regulatory, commercial, and technological developments on the different layers of the Internet— from physical infrastructure, network, to the application layer. The session will also discuss how different stakeholder groups can work together to preserve the single and interoperable Internet.

- Both public and private sectors from business and government are increasingly exposing each other to an expanding range of cyber-risks. However, based on current efforts to cybersecurity resources are limited in scope. Thus, this workshop will focus on what, how, and when the collaboration will be facilitated by business and government as well as share the tactics, practices, and case-studies of cyber security events and vulnerabilities handling.

- The advent of generative AI has swept across the globe, revolutionizing various industries and job fields by rapidly generating text, sound, images, and even videos. While bringing about innovation, it has also sparked discussions on important ethical and legal issues. What is the impact of AI technology on the Internet? This forum invites experts specializing in AI and the Internet to analyze the influence of AI on the Internet from the perspectives of their respective stakeholders as well as their own professional backgrounds. This includes examining its impact on the Internet's infrastructure such as DNS/IP, the spread or prevention of misinformation, protection of domain names or brands, and the operation and responsibility of Internet platforms. Furthermore, the forum aims to discuss the appropriate governance models for AI, such as whether a multi-stakeholder approach can serve as a reference and if Taiwan is going to stipulate an AI Basic Law, what matters shall the AI Basic Law be governing.

- From ICANN’s defined mission to preserve the operational stability of the Internet to wider industry voluntary commitments, there are increasing efforts to mitigate DNS Abuse and cybersecurity threats. This session will look at a wide array of efforts, some falling within the ICANN context such as the ways mandatory Public Interest Commitments (PICs) are used to deter DNS Abuse, measures against other abuses implemented by Registries and Registrars (.KiDS as a case study), and recent ICANN community-wide discussions on Registry Voluntary Commitments (RVCs) that will impact the Next Round. Other broader efforts outside of the ICANN context highlight innovative ways industry, nonprofits and end-user communities contribute to maintaining the security, addressing abuse, and moderating content on different platforms and online spaces.

The Operational Technology SIG plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of network and systems and in advancing the use of technology to improve network operational performance and service delivery.
