Description
This plenary session will examine the evolving landscape of domain name registration data access and disclosure, particularly in the context of increasingly stringent data protection frameworks following the implementation of GDPR. These changes have significantly impacted Internet governance, law enforcement, intellectual property protection, and industry operations.Bringing together perspectives from across the multistakeholder community, the session will explore key challenges and emerging opportunities in registration data access and disclosure, with a focus on (1) Overall landscape: Developments before and after GDPR, key challenges, and future directions, (2) Public registration data: The role of RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol), its benefits, and ongoing efforts, and (3) Non-public registration data: Progress of the Registration Data Request Service (RDRS), participation models, and related initiatives such as Project Jake. The session will feature experts from ICANN, industry, the technical community, and law enforcement, offering practical insights and diverse viewpoints. The session aims to foster dialogue on how to balance privacy and public interest, and to advance more effective and trusted mechanisms for registration data access and disclosure." Panelists

Evolution of the Internet’s Unique Identifier Systems – How will the Domain Name System Evolve in the New Era?Description
This session will explore how the Internet’s unique identifier systems may evolve amid new gTLD expansion, IPv6 development, and the rise of alternative naming technologies such as blockchain-based systems. It will consider whether domain names, IP addresses, and the public DNS remain essential to a stable and interoperable Internet, and how new forms of identifiers might affect existing governance and technical models. The discussion will also address the importance of a single authoritative root and how future identifier systems should be managed globally to preserve interoperability, coordination, and trust. Description
Focus on importance of multistakeholder participation and discussions about how this can be realised Expanding from last year's discussion on TW representation in different ICANN SO/ACs, this can be broadened to bring in new voices (e.g. IXPs, cloud service providers). We can tap on synergies with TWNOG happening in the same week. Also, youth participation has been a focus in the past couple years, we can integrate this aspect in this session. Discussions can also go beyond just the ICANN space, and overall participation in regional and global IG spaces. Potentially to include an example topic (e.g. AI governance; DNS abuse mitigation) to illustrate the importance of multistakeholder participation in policymaking. Moderator
